Aventra is an AI-assisted travel planning app. In this policy, "we" refers to the party that develops and operates the app. Contact: support@useaventra.com
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Full name | To greet you inside the app |
| Email address | Sign-in and password reset |
| Username | Sign-in |
| Password | Stored hashed — never kept in plain text |
| Profile photo | Only if you upload one |
If you create your account using "Continue with Google", only the following is passed to us by Google: your email address, your name, your profile photo and the permanent identifier of your Google account. We never see or store your Google password — Google performs the verification and sends us only a signed confirmation.
Accounts created this way have no password stored. Your username is derived automatically from your email address. If you previously created an account with a password using the same email, both sign-in methods are linked to the same account; no separate account is created.
No personal data is sent from us to Google. For the data Google collects on its own during this process, the Google Privacy Policy applies.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your trip plans and stop progress | So we can show your plans back to you |
| Journal entries and photos | To store your memories |
| Favourites | To remember the places you saved |
| Location (approximate or precise, depending on the permission you grant) | To suggest nearby places — only with your permission, only while the app is open, and not stored on our servers |
| Usage counters | To apply plan limits |
| Comments you write on shared plans | To display the comment; your name and profile photo appear next to it |
To prevent free plan allowances from being reset by creating new accounts, we store a technical identifier for your device as an irreversible cryptographic hash (HMAC). The raw identifier is never kept in our database and cannot be recovered from the hash.
This is used solely for abuse prevention. It is not linked to your identity, not used for advertising or profiling, and never shared.
To understand which screens are used and where the app fails, we keep limited event records: event name, session ID, platform (iOS/Android), app version and timestamp. These records are deleted automatically after 90 days. We do not collect advertising identifiers, we do not track you across apps, and we use no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the app:
| Provider | Purpose | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Gemini) | Generating trip plans, packing lists and journal stories | The text of your request. When you choose to generate a journal story, the photos and notes in that entry are also sent. Your account details are not sent. Google processes this data only to generate a response and does not use it to train its models. |
| Google (Places & Maps) | Place information and map images | A place name or coordinates. Your identity is not sent. |
| Open-Meteo | Weather | Coordinates only |
| Email provider | Password reset and notifications | Your email address and the code |
| Apple / Google | In-app purchases and subscription status | Payments are handled by the store; your card details never reach us |
| Google (Sign-In) | Signing in with Google — only if you choose this option | No data is sent from us; Google passes us an identity confirmation, your email, name and profile photo |
When you share a trip plan or a journal entry, a public link to that content is created. Anyone with the link can view that content. You can turn sharing off from inside the app at any time, and the link stops working. The shared page shows only that content — your profile, email and other records are not visible.
If you comment on a shared plan, your name and profile photo become publicly visible next to that comment. You can delete your comment at any time.
When you report an inappropriate comment, we record which comment you reported, the reason and your identity for moderation purposes. This record is used only for review; the reported user is not shown who reported them. See the community guidelines section in the Terms of Use for details.
In the app, go to Profile → Danger zone → Delete account. Once you enter your password and confirm, your account, journal entries, trips, favourites, comments you wrote, all uploaded photos and any active plan are permanently deleted. This cannot be undone, and you don't need to request it from us.
If you created your account with Google, you are asked to sign in with Google again to confirm your identity instead of entering a password. The deletion is completed in the same irreversible way.
One exception: the hash of your device identifier is retained to prevent abuse of free allowances. The device cannot be identified from this hash, and it is used for no other purpose.
Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU, KVKK in Türkiye), you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, write to support@useaventra.com. We respond to requests within 30 days at the latest.
Aventra is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we delete it. If you believe your child has sent us data, please get in touch.
No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable and current measures to protect your data.
If we update this policy, we will change the date on this page. For significant changes, we will notify you inside the app.
